Movie Recommendation: A Dog Named Christmas

It’s not very often that I can recommend a movie for families with a good conscience, but this is one time I feel very comfortable doing so.

This is a wonderful story of a young man with (what seems to be) a learning disability who lives with his supportive parents. At Christmas time he hears about an “Adopt a dog for the holidays program” and the wonderful events that follow will warm your heart. I had to say that as much as I think it’s cliche. It’s just so true, that I’m willing to sound like a sap.

The only caution that I would give is that there are some war scenes due to the fact that the father was haunted by military memories. Nothing very violent, but I would use caution with very young kids.
